Safe Haven Recovery Engagement Center is dedicated to Dakota Stout, who lost his life to substance use February. 1, 2018. Safe Haven is a resource to anyone who is struggling with substance use – whether you are a family member, friend or you yourself are affected. We are here to help. We operate as a Regional Recovery Hub serving Orange, Crawford, Dubois, Perry, Martin, Pike, Lawrence, Daviess, Warrick, Vanderburgh, Posey, Spencer, and Gibson counties.
Safe Haven REC is a501c3 non-profit organization. We are governed by a nine-person board, all of whom are residents of Orange County and have been affected by substance use in one way or another. 5 of our board members are in recovery themselves. We, as a board of Safe Haven, offer our own stories, experience, strength and hope so we may help just one person fight this disease. We are here for those struggling – whether one day in recovery or 10 years – as well as the family members and children who are affected by this disease. There is hope – Let Safe Haven be that resource of hope for our community.
Can you help? Absolutely! Safe Haven depends on community involvement to stay open and offer as many services as possible. You can help leading a meeting, teaching a life skill class or helping with clean up. Other ways to help include monetary donations, gas cards and gift cards.
Whether you help through monetary donations, volunteering your time, or spreading our mission through word-of-mouth, thank you. We couldn't accomplish our goals without the help of supporters like you.
