A person in recovery must change their people, places and things. Safe Haven will offer that one safe space
for those in recovery. Read a book, attend a meeting, grab a cup of coffee and surround yourself with a
new social circle that is healthy for you and your new lifestyle.
Safe Haven is committed to raising awareness in the community as well as reducing the stigma associated with substance use.

Safe Haven offers occasional social events for those in recovery and their families. We know that loneliness can be a trigger for those in recovery, especially in early recovery. Come out to an event, meet new people, and make new friends!
Safe Haven is committed to tackling the bigger problems at the state level and regularly attend meetings and stay updated on policy changes that are happening in Indiana, ensuring Orange County's voice is heard.
Safe Haven continuously networks and collaborates with other organizations locally and regionally. We offer support to other recovery organizations, other nonprofits, as well as gain connections and learn about resources that we can connect people to in Orange County.
We know that substance use is a family disease. While one may use, the whole family suffers. Safe Haven knows that family support can greatly enhance the entire family's ability to recover from the disease. Safe Haven was recently awarded a grant from the Orange County Community Foundation to develop a Family Support Program that will be launching soon!
Safe Haven is committed to keeping people alive. We know that a person who is dead cannot recover. While our ultimate goal and hope is that people with substance use will enter recovery, the reality is that some people just aren't ready. Until then, we offer harm reduction services including free narcan and free fentanyl test strips to anyone in need. We have a NaloxBox stocked with Narcan, allowing 24/7 access for anybody in need as well as a Harm Reduction Specialist that is out in the community 5 days a week providing resources.
Safe Haven is committed to providing free education to the communities of Orange County. The more we know, the more we can be of help. A community armed with knowledge, is a community that thrives and offers hope to anybody suffering. Safe Haven Board Members are certified to over evidence based Overdose Lifeline Teachings including Stigma Reduction, the Opioid Crisis, Youth Program This is NOT About Drugs, and the Science of Addiction.
Safe Haven REC has opened and manages a Men's Recovery Home in Paoli, Indiana called Dakota's House.
